Default James Corden about the upcoming George Michael tribute

James Corden on twitter about the upcoming George Michael tribute:

"it's gonna be sort of a once in a lifetime moment - I truly believe that."

Sounds promising...

I hope the tributes will go further than Purple Rain and Freedom90!

for prince my thoughts are endless with what might be covered.....feeling some Pop Life though along with the unavoidable Purple Rain
and for GM One More Try is one my mind but of course Freedom90 is a given

I really have high hopes towards this tribute and still so curious of who and what will be played.

Read article that was hoping for Rufus Wainwright for Hallelujah to honor Leonard Cohen......that would be amazing.

I wrote something in here many times but each time deleted before posting bc i thought i may offend or make someone sad with my post.
but now i want to say part of what i wanted to say

no offence but Adele really doesn't have the vocal range needed to sing George Michael's songs she can't do it with her limited vocal range (2 octaves 4 notes!).
from list of announced performers Carrie Underwood, Beyonce or even Demi Lovato are all better options to doing tribute so much better than Adele (as vocalist) and i'm not even a fan of Beyonce or Demi.
It's crazy even to think someone with two-octave vocal range can sing song like One more try it's not personal opinion it's a fact

Remember how many singers failed on tribute concert for Freddie Mercury. This will be the same. But this is a tribute of the artists who loved him. It must be assumed that not everyone close to that voice.

Florence is great I'm a big fan of her i didn't mention her bc i thought maybe her voice is very different to George? she's very good at covering too i think she even had covered Last Christmas in radio program?
but they didn't even asked her to perform last year when she was nominated for 5 grammys i can't see they asking her to perform this year but i love to. I think The Grammys like other awards shows only cares about ratings that's why they invite same popular singers to perform every year.

I have been thinking who would fit the bill and his peers in the 80's either are gone or wouldn't be the best choice . Sting could be a possibility but the voice is very different , Adele because she has a strong voice and is an admirer . Sam Smith could be one , maybe Beyoncé . What about Kelly Clarkson ?

John Legend(amazing at all he does) will lead the main memoriam with another singer who I have forgotten the name of. this morning they announced that Beyonce will now be performing and will have big video screen and lots of special guests singing with her.....could she be the one? mixed feeling if that pans out. I guess mixed feelings towards anyone. I just want it to be beautiful and of the best respect possible. few more hours and we will know for sure.
