Oh that's tough to see - death certificate. Also once the funeral takes place there won't be much left to discuss. The finality is very hard.. Wish we at least had a new release to chat about . I think it would be nice to get a group together and try to meet up to discuss GM , sort of like a book club . Any one interested ??

From above article
"It is rumoured that it could take place at Highgate Cemetery, where his mother Lesley was laid to rest.

The cemetery's message on their answer phone says: "Welcome to Highgate Cemetery, if you're phoning about George Michael, I'm sorry, we haven't got any information for you."

From what we know of GM he wouldn't of wanted a large funeral , only those closest. Maybe there will be a memorial for fans but doesn't help us in the states.

Do you really think that George would be buried in "public" cemetery ? And that everybody would be allowed to go to his grave ?

According to IMDb, something to look forward to...

Sound it Out: The Untitled LGBTQIA Music Documentary (2017) May 5, 2017 (USA)
An edgy and unapologetic look at the growing impact that open LGBTQ music artists, and their straight allies, are having on the portrayal of sexuality and gender politics in music, and its affect on the normalizing of gay culture.
Stars: George Michael, Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying

No i hope fans and press will not find out where it is, maybe we will be told later. But the funeral should be alone for his family as it is their last moment with George to say goodbye forever

Elvis Presley is buried in the garden of meditation in Graceland. Firstly he was buried in public cemetery in Memphis but later was moved to Graceland due to more "privacy".

Unhappy

I cried when I saw George's death certificate . It makes everything so final.I'm just glad that George can rest in peace now. I can finally watch George's videos and listen to his music without being so sad. I think his funeral will be private with only family and close friends as it should be. I can't imagine the grief of waiting that his family has been through.

Default Andros Georgiou Facebook post

Andros has just posted on Facebook asking fans to please respect the families wishes for a private funeral. I can't seem to link it but he is asking for privacy and for all fans and media to please give George a dignified send off. He says what I think most people realise that George would not have wanted it to be anything other than a private affair. He also addresses some apparent questions and states the service will NOT be done by a Greek Orthodox priest and that he tried to see him but wasn't able to. Although I don't know what to think about some of the things that have happened in the past with him and have no idea whether anything he says is true, I have to say I do personally agree with the funeral request. I am sure a media circus is the last thing George would have wanted for himself or his family. I am sure something will be organised for fans later which will also give the media the pickings they desire too. Gosh this doesn't seem right at all speaking of an actual funeral with George being the one to be buried.
