I have for years looked to see if anybody would post a better quality video of these live performances. But even with the poor quality, it is worth watching.

In this performance, Mutya is perched uncomfortably with the short dress. At the end does GM not say "they are hard to come by these days" (5:17). Audio is not very clear
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_aCcXj5Hl0
At 2:13 there is a misstep and GM stops singing "That's why I've got to leave" halfway. It is really hard singing these duets in step.

Another performance, you can see Mutya is wearing the black pants now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qomPAdZkU9U

And for the first time I found what looks like a 3rd performance. It is different from the second one as Mutya is wearing a sleeveless blouse here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdTM3ug2h_Q

Looks like at all the London concerts of 25Live she must have sung. Must say Mutya's voice is top quality and matches GM. It must have taken a big effort for her to hold her nerve and sit next to him and match his singing. Full marks to Mutya.

His voice is at his seductive best in this song. Every word cleanly enunciated. Effortless singing. Lyrics simple, but flowing and speaks of a life situation many people find themselves in. GM was born to make music. This song deserved a lot more play than it got.

This convo got started here and does not belong in this thread

I know George played the violin when he was a kid.
And the piano of which he both hated.

This article is in French, I believe. But, I think they are saying the lady in the photos is Melanie.

This looks more like Yioda than Melanie. Melanie had darker, longer hair and was more heavy. She was staying at the Highgate house I think. Some English fans who went to the house late in the night to pay homage on the day of the funeral said they thought they saw Melanie at a window that night.

But then who knows? Full marks to the sisters for keeping themselves away from the spotlight so effectively

Default A Poetic tribute by Phyllis

Exquisite Arts Magazine January/February 2017
A Poetic tribute to the Legends lost in 2016: It’s Never a Goodbye When You are in my Heart : Phyllis –Pg. 29

It Is Never a Goodbye When You Are Here In My Heart
By, Phyllis

I never thought I would lose you, never see you here again
The one I looked up to, the one who always made me laugh
I try so hard to believe it; it’s not easy to accept the facts
They stare at me like a mad person when I say you are still here
Because I know it is never a goodbye when you are in my heart

These days feel incomplete without you, is it real?
I asked myself a lot of questions, what if I did this?
If I could, I would bring you back, you’d be here
I’d never let you go, I won’t even think of it
But in my heart I know this is not even close to goodbye

As we slowly lay you to rest in the sand of time
I know you died a legend in your own life time
I will never forget the gifts you gave to the world
Not only to them but to me, personally
I know it’s not goodbye; you are engraved in my heart

This is the last chapter, with a brand new beginning
From the ashes I know you will rise like a phoenix
I will wait patiently for the day we will meet again
I will wait patiently for the time we will spend together
For now I know you are not gone yet
You are in my heart, there is where you belong
So I’ll hold you close and I will never let go
For it is never a goodbye when you are in my heart

Definitely not either Melanie or Yioda.

Well done for finding the first and third, I've never seen them before. Mutya and her fellow Sugababe Keisha apparently went to the same school as George (and Andrew and Shirley I suppose).

I think the school they attended was in Kingsbury North London. Not Bushey Meads.

Perfect timing, Sam Smith would be a perfect choice for this.
