Forget german languaged tv stations. They are unable to honor artists like George Michael, They needed decades to show anything of his stuff, for example MTV UNPLUGGED. The honor to an icon like George Michael in the media in Austria, Germany and Switzerland was a totally shame!

But still better than in the UK, imo. Finally German tv stations showed MTV Unplugged on mtv and viva, and there were two George Michael specials on Deluxe Music (live in london concert and many video clips).
Maybe German tv stations do not own copyrights for other documentaries and Symphonica concert.

I’ve been waiting for a TV station in Scandinavia to show this and then suddenly with very short notice last Saturday on 1st April, I found out that now finally I could see:

George Michael at Paris Galais Garnier– the Symphonica Documentary on Danish TV2 Charlie, very late at 11:35-00:45 - a midnight show!

After the show the Danish reporter briefly said something like this:
“GM sold about 100 million records, He died on 25th December, age 53 and was buried last week”.

Wonderful to see George perform some of the beautiful Symphonica tracks – I tried not to think too much about that it can never happen live again.
