Default Naughty Boy working with George Michael on a new album

Well. This sounds official.

Let's see if it happens, eh?

"The songwriter, whose real name is Shahid Khan, said Michael got in touch after he mentioned him in an interview."

This isn't quite clear - who mentioned whom? Anyone know where we can find a transcript of said interview?

Also:

"He's got an album coming out next year, and he's going to be doing something for my album as well."

Assuming the album 'coming out next year' is the LWP 25 project? Or are we talking the long-awaited dance/house album?

Would also be interesting to find-out if it was actually GM himself who got in touch with NB or someone from GM's team.

Naughty Boy did reach out in an interview saying he wanted to work with GM. The link is on another thread here..

Here

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz/g...er-Naughty-Boy

Also, this is a somewhat differently worded recap of the BBC article.

http://newsbon.com/2016/12/13/naught...michael-songs/

I know ppl sometimes collaborate without even meeting. So I wonder, with all the technology etc. if they will go to a studio together or work separately and communicate. I mean. I've collaborated just via typing for poetry. Will be interesting to see what rumors etc start up.

Highly doubt I'll hear it, and doubt it'd be my style of music anyway, tbh, but it's interesting.

THX but my flashplayer doesn't work...

searched for the video on youtube and 'only' found this:

"The Naughty Boy Story"
https://youtu.be/lmiZPDrfX34
his own interview:
https://youtu.be/5p6_NTJvmY8

let's see if georgemichael.com also "reveals" these news - officially!
I guess if NB doesn't calm down - waiting - nothing will happen... IMO!

The video clip is on the red carpet of a British music awards show yesterday. Just brief interview.

I'm wondering if GM official will say anything, too. You've got a well known guy excited and saying it's gonna happen, be weird for them to not acknowledge it, but... they are always so weirdly quiet. Even something like lwp 25 being pushed back, everyone knew way before said anything.

Hopfully he doesn't just vanish on this guy like he did to the producer he was working with a couple years ago.

I'm wondering if the LWP release has been pushed back so that George can himself sorted (appearance wise) in time. Perhaps his state of mind now is such that he's ready to get back into the limelight. Who knows? Fingers crossed though.

"'Naughty Boy featuring George Michael' - it just sounds right".

Cheeky git. George's name should come first.

I wondered, since when producer are in the front!? In the past you only read their names on the booklet and not seen them in the music videos or on stage...

But I guess it's only online this way...

I have a feeling he may have been referring to a song on his own album, in which George would be collaborating. I can't imagine he would say that about producing on a GM album.

That would be absurd.

Lightbulb co-producing maybe?

Songs from the Last Century is co-produced by Phil Ramone... so maybe NB means a co-production..

still no official news from http://www.georgemichael.com ...

Yeah hard to imagine GM not being involved in the production.
I personally don't expect anything from GM.com unless they're about to drop a song/record.

But I check now and then to see if anything is up.
