Lightbulb Twenty Five - CD|DVD

According to early midweek reports, TWENTY FIVE is #1 on the albums chart. Second is Jamiroquai and third Sugababes' greatest hits. Apparently TWENTY FIVE is outselling Sugababes 2:1, but it's too early to see how close Jamiroquai is to George. Updates when they come in...

Go George! Despite my doubts about the compilation, having received both the 2-disc and 3-disc editions, they are defitely classy collections. It's just a shame about THIS IS NOT REAL LOVE missing the top 10...

COME ON GEORGE!

Everyone should go and buy copies next week for presents for Christmas. I want nothing short of chart domination. This is his last compliation, let's make sure it sells as well as it can.

BUY IT AS A GIFT.....

Sorry, there's no direct link. The info is gleaned from a number of forums that extract info from Music Week. I'll post further updates when I hear something new.
Incidently, THIS IS NOT REAL LOVE has currently dropped, but is still in the Top 20. This may change though...

I think it will be the last compliation with any proper legitimacy. He's not got a massive back catalogue and he's now had 2 best ofs within 8 years. It always annoys me when artists repackage the same stuff over and over again. This is a Sony decision, and if it gets to No 1 for a few weeks, then well done.

However, judging by his intent to release online, I can't envisage another CD

The Sun says: But it is GEORGE MICHAEL’s week. He looks sure to bag No1 album on Sunday with his Twenty Five greatest hits album.

George sold 25,000 copies on Monday alone — more than All Saints will manage all week

He really deserves the album to make number one. I know people have been knocking it because of the lack of rare material on it but if it symbolises his 25 years in the business then the songs have been very appropriately chosen. Not many artists have achieved what he has.
